Job Title: GCP Cloud Engineer
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Job Type: Contract to hire
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled GCP Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based systems on Google Cloud Platform. You will work closely with our engineering and development teams to identify optimal solutions, ensure efficient data storage, and maintain security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems on GCP.Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in line with company security policies.Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements.Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs.Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services and architecture.Experience with cloud-based systems design, development, and deployment.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.GCP certifications (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect) preferred.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.Understanding of network security and data protection principles.
