TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Decatur, Illinois, 62526 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must have active Illinois license or be in the application process Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Med/Surg experience - Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response experience - Telemetry - remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams - Gastrointestinal Case Skills/Experience - Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills/Experience - IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience - Medication Skills/Experience - Respiratory Case Skills/Experience - Professional Knowledge and Skills - Cerner experience Job Description: - Work on a Level II Trauma center with a total of 372 staffed beds. - Manage a daily average census of 35 patients. - Work every other weekend as part of the shift rotation. - Will float as needed according to department needs. - Engage in tasks like colostomy care, feeding tube care and management. - Handle pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure cases. - Proficient in accessing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting IVs. - Administer medications including Heparin, Insulin, and PCA. - Perform respiratory tasks using CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy management, among others. - Implement isolation precautions and wound care, including wound VAC. - Orientation includes 16 hours of non-billable modules to be completed virtually on the first day by the end of the day, and annually thereafter. - Candidates will float to other departments or affiliated hospitals as needed. 26186900EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel nursing adventure begins here.
