We are looking for a
Financial Analyst
to join our client's team, supporting our Financial Services function through robust financial planning and analysis. This role is ideal for an accountant seeking to transition into FP&A, leveraging an accounting foundation with experience in cloud-based ERP systems. This addition to staff will play a key role in supporting decision-makers by providing actionable insights, maintaining financial data accuracy, and driving financial health through detailed analysis.
Key Responsibilities:Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.Performance Monitoring:
Track and analyze actual financial performance against budgets, identifying variances and collaborating with business partners to document variance drivers.Trend Analysis:
Provide finance leadership with detailed trend analysis, delivering insights to inform strategic decision-making.System Management:
Oversee the financial planning system (Prophix) and maintain financial master data within the ERP system and related systems.Investment Analysis:
Evaluate CapEx and major investment opportunities, ensuring they align with the company's long-term financial goals.Executive Reporting:
Prepare presentations for the executive team, ownership partners, and the management committee.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; advanced degree a plus.3-5 years in a relevant financial or accounting role.Prior experience with cloud-based ERP and financial planning software.Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with all organizational levels and ownership partners.Preferred Experience:
Background in the energy industry is a plus.
