The Group manages three Singapore-listed real estate investment trusts (“REITs”) and nine private equity real estate funds, which hold a diverse portfolio of assets in Asia Pacific, Europe, the United Kingdom (“UK”) and the United States (“US”). The Group’s assets are located across 13 markets globally, namely Singapore, Australia, Canada, China, Europe, Hong Kong SAR, India, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, the UK, the US and Vietnam. To support its global operations, Mapletree has established an extensive network of offices in these countries.
The Role
You will lead the logistics business portfolio in the United States and be responsible for overall positioning of assets, the enhancement of cash flow and asset value.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the performance of the US logistics portfolio and the management of the portfolio fund value.
Deliver sustainable and consistent returns to the stakeholders and drive portfolio performance through effective marketing, as well as property and asset management plans.
Formulate and drive effective business strategies to stabilize and grow the current portfolio.
Assume fund management responsibilities for the US Logistics private fund.
Formulate market entry/exit strategies to ensure higher returns upon disposition.
Oversee the day-to-day management and operations of the US logistics portfolio and work closely with colleagues from different support functions in the United States and Singapore to meet strategic, investment and operational business objectives of the Group.
Provide regular reporting to the Senior Management team in the US and Singapore, and the relevant Investment Committees.
Job Requirements
Degree in Real Estate, Building, Business, Finance or its equivalent.
At least 15 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
Good knowledge of the logistics real estate in the US.
Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Operationally hands-on with sound financial grounding and skills.
Analytical mind and strong business development skills.
Highly driven and results-oriented, with strong initiative and excellent communication skills to work in a fast-paced and multi-cultural environment.
Travelling is required for this role.
