job summary:Our client's National IT Application Transition Factory Team has an immediate opening for DevOps Middleware Administrator.

As the DevOps Middleware Administrator, you will provide on-going enterprise support for middleware running on OpenShift associated with the installation, upgrading, testing, migration and maintenance of software applications, containers.

Qualifications:

5+ years of working with containerized platforms optimizing and troubleshooting complex applications

Basic understanding or experience with cloud technologies and terminology

DevOps/DevSecOPs engineering experience

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

Experienced with RedHat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)

Knowledge of Relational Database Services (RDS). MySQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, PostgreSQL.

Experience working in with Enterprise Change Management Systems (Remedy, ServiceNow)

Knowledge of Agile methodology (SCRUM / Kanban) and within a Product Model Org Structure.

knowledge of automation/scripting languages/programming languages (Node.js, Python, Shell Scripting (bash))Middleware knowledge:

-webserver/application server- JBoss EAP, Adobe ColdFusion, Messaging services (WebSphere MQ)

IT Security: Networking

Cryptography (Concepts, Ciphers, Encryption, Key Management and PKI, Internet Security etc.),

OpenShift/Kubernetes Experience

Developing apps on Kubernetes

responsibilities:

Follow detailed work plans for both installation and continuing maintenance

Work with developers, application owners and vendors to facilitate app installs, upgrades and migrations.

Conduct tests, configure monitoring & alerting for new installations

Address security, compliance, vulnerability and audit findings

Produce technical documentation to enable the operational support of migrated workloads.

Participate in an on-call rotation, which provides 24/7 support to applications the team is responsible for.

Troubleshoot degraded or impacted applications, participate in Incident Management & After-Action Review calls

Optimize and automate current manual processes to reduce TOIL (Continual Improvement)

Work productively within a strict change controlled and locked down environmentqualifications:
