Meta Software Engineering Manager, AR/VR – Engine Integrations

To enable the next generation of AR/VR experiences on world-class AR/VR hardware and software, we need to provide the next generation of developer APIs to build them. We’re looking for someone to be responsible for our app SDK strategy, from native to Unity to Unreal - seasoned engineering manager that can seize the opportunity of having access to the whole stack, from software to hardware, to provide the best developer experience possible.Responsibilities:Help build and lead our developer tooling strategy to deliver world-class products and services.Work cross-functionally to design solutions that work across Meta Reality Labs’ product offerings.Leverage and contribute to XR and graphics engine projects across the industry.Champion engineering and operations, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement.Establish a solid project framework and development processes.Provide technical leadership and guidance to both your team members and your project peers.Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams.Minimum Qualifications:Experience analyzing, interpreting, and leveraging data to make engineering and product decisions.Proven track record of building and supporting cross-functional teams.3+ years of experience managing engineering teams.Experience building game engines and products for developers for game or real-time development.Experience with C/C++/C# or comparable languages.Experience supporting, coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers.Experience architecting, developing, and launching software products and/or services.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in Windows and/or Android.Experience writing or working within game engine codebases such as Unity, Unreal, or others.Experience in building or extending any of the following: Unity, Unreal, Godot, custom engines for shipping games, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, PIX, Razor, Event Tracing for Windows, LLVM, and/or GNU.Public Compensation:$177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefitsMeta is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
