Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is seeking an experienced Fixed Asset Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The primarily objectives of this role will be overseeing all fixed asset accounting activities for Coffee Systems, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations, and managing the life cycle of fixed assets.This role will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and will work closely with members of KDP’s accounting, finance and other operational business partners on various accounting matters to ensure transactions are appropriately recorded within KDP’s general ledger and financial statements.The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated and capable of working independently in a project-driven environment while managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills, a keen sense of urgency, and attention to detail are essential to meet deadlines and adhere to contractual timelines. A process-oriented mindset and a commitment to identifying and implementing process improvements are also important. Professionalism in interactions with both internal and external customers is crucial. This role requires effective collaboration with Outsourced Accounting Team, Finance, Project Managers, Capital Management Department, Regional Business Units, Information Technology, and Compliance.This position is based at our HQ in Frisco, TX and will have a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days works from on a weekly basis.Specific responsibilities for the Fixed Asset Accounting Manager position will include, but are not limited to:Oversee the acquisition, classification, depreciation, and disposal of fixed assets in accordance GAAP, IFRS, and Company policies.Complete month-end closing procedures, including management of SAP system close processes. Ensure deadlines are met (with a high level of accuracy) in regard to monthly close and SEC/external audit requests.Prepare and/or review schedules and disclosures for external reporting team, tax department, external auditors as well as ad hoc reports requests.Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance on fixed asset accounting processes and best practices. Responsible for the results of the team activities and metrics. Responsible for the development of standard operating processes of the team.Partner with Supply Chain, IT and other functional areas to ensure spend related to capital projects is properly authorized and recorded timely, accurately and completely.Provide support to Project Managers and Finance, as needed, to properly account for capital projects, acquisitions, retirements, and transfers.Identify and lead opportunities in continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency, accuracy and reporting of fixed asset accounting. Support the implementation of solutions and tools designed to increase productivity across the function, such as SAP, Planview, Blackline and other IT tools.Review, monitor, and process fixed assets requests on a timely basis (capitalization, transfers, retirements).Develop and recommend changes to accounting policies, procedures and processes.Review journal entries, variance analytics and balance sheet account reconciliations for fixed assets in accordance with appropriate accounting treatment.Act as the subject matter expert on the utilization of the SAP fixed asset system/subledger.Coordinate with IT department for system issues, maintenance and development.Support accounting research function for fixed asset accounting issues.Design, document, implement and monitor adherence to internal financial controls in accordance with SOX requirements.Participate in other miscellaneous projects and tasks, as needed.
