QA Engineer - Customer Feedback San Diego,California,United States Software and Services Join the team responsible for Apples Beta Software Program. Feedback from beta software, collected through our applications and systems, has a direct effect on the quality of Apple's software products. Our app, Feedback Assistant, collects user feedback on beta software updates and major OS releases, while our internal tools analyze, group, and send that actionable feedback to Apple engineering. We are looking for a QA engineer to join our group in San Diego. The team ships Objective-C and Swift code to all of Apples OS platforms, including Feedback Assistant on macOS, iOS, and visionOS. Other projects include beta enrollment logic on our OSs and internal tools to manage content, membership, and configuration of our various beta programs. Description As a QA engineer on our team, youll be responsible for testing new development on customer-facing applications, internal tools, and supporting frameworks on all OS platforms. You will collaborate and work cross-functionally with other engineering groups to drive projects toward completion. In concert with our development team, youll ensure high quality at all times during the release cycle, especially in early betas when feedback is most important. To deliver on those goals, you will: - Build detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases based on the requirements of our software and user needs - Execute all types of tests (e.g., functional, integration, manual, etc.) on a scheduled basis - Create, schedule, and track results of automated tests - Track and manage bugs through the software development lifecycle - Track and report on quality assurance metrics and testing activities Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes Able to write clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases Can explain usage patterns concepts succinctly and clearly. B.S. degree, or equivalent experience Key Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Close attention to detail, and passion for quality the customer experience Comfortable working with diverse engineering teams throughout the full software development lifecycle. Familiarity with automation frameworks; continuous integration a plus Education & Experience Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $92,500 and $178,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apples discretionary employee stock programs.
