Job DescriptionThe Sterile Processing Technician plays an essential role in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for patient care. This role involves cleaning, sterilizing, and organizing medical equipment and supplies, ensuring they are properly prepared for medical procedures. The ideal candidate is meticulous, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting high standards in healthcare.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for sorting and decontamination.Manually clean supplies, removing contaminants and waste, and operate decontamination equipment.Prepare and package decontaminated supplies for sterilization.Monitor and operate sterilization equipment to ensure effectiveness.Carefully inspect supplies to confirm they are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.Report and address any issues with sterilization equipment to ensure operational integrity.Sterilize, prepare, wrap, and organize equipment into instrument trays for medical use.Prepare and deliver necessary equipment and instruments for surgeries, examinations, and other procedures.Keep accurate records of sterilization procedures, equipment maintenance, and sterilized items.Manage inventory, reorder supplies, and monitor expiration dates to ensure timely availability.RequirementsUpdated ResumeBasic Life Support (BLS) CertificationCertified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) CertificationCOVID-19 and Flu Vaccination RecordsTwo Professional References (Manager or Supervisor) Education: High SchoolCertification: Certified Endoscope Reprocessing Certificate
