Job Summary:
The ETL Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of new and existing highly efficient, scalable ETL and ELT processes. This individual will leverage proven communication and problem-solving skills, along with a strong understanding of best practices related to Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions.
Key Responsibilities:Design and implement robust ETL and ELT processes using Matillion and other industry-recognized tools.Develop, test, and maintain code required for data movement and transformation.Conduct project-specific data analysis, including analyzing and mapping required data for ELT processes.Document ELT processes and procedures thoroughly.Assist in the creation and maintenance of ELT specifications, such as source-to-target maps.Participate in production on-call support rotation for ETL processing and completion.Provide estimates for the ELT process and suggest improvements.Ensure that security practices are incorporated into all decisions and daily responsibilities.Required Qualifications:
Must currently reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, ID, IL (Saint Louis Metropolitan Area Only), IN, KS, KY, LA, MO, NC, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, or WI.3+ years of experience working with Matillion.2+ years of experience with a scripting or programming language, such as Python.Experience with AWS Lambda functions and data pipelines.Experience implementing Change Data Capture (CDC).Proficiency in Kimball dimensional modeling concepts.Proven ability to develop technical skills and perform problem-solving.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to multitask in a team-oriented environment.Demonstrated experience in developing and supporting ETL and ELT processes.Ability to maintain documentation on ELT processes and procedures.Strong analytical skills for conducting project-specific data analysis.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years in an ETL/ELT development role utilizing industry-recognized tools.5+ years of experience developing and supporting a data warehouse.Experience with Oracle Database, AWS Postgres, MySQL, and SQL Server.Strong knowledge and experience calling APIs and handling JSON responses.Proficient in SQL programming, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and error trapping.Prior experience extending or migrating existing data pipelines to cloud platforms such as AWS.Experience with Oracle Data Integrator is a strong advantage.Familiarity with building self-service reporting solutions using business intelligence software (e.g., OBIEE, Looker, Power BI).
