You will report to the Chief Operating Officer, and as our champion in real estate development, you’ll:Lead the charge: Oversee the Real Estate Development team and multiple exciting projects from start to finish, ensuring they’re completed on time, on budget, and with a smile. You will actively identify acquisition or rehabilitation opportunities, conduct project feasibility studies, solicit bids and manage contracts, coordinate selection of design team, and run the whole gamut to ensure the highest quality development.Strategic Leadership: Ideate and implement innovative real estate development strategies that align with our mission to

ensure everyone in our community has a home through supportive, equitable, and sustainable housing solutions.Build Bridges: Fostering strong partnerships with various internal departments, local governments, community organizations, neighbors, and various other stakeholders to bring our projects to life.Crunch Numbers: Dive into project budgets and funding sources, helping the COO secure the financial backing needed to make our visions a reality. Lead budget forecasting, analyze financial viability, maintain project proformas.Handle all relevant regulations like a pro, ensuring every project is compliant, has all necessary entitlements and approvals, and is ready to go.Engage the Community, integrating their feedback to create truly inclusive spaces.Who You Are:

You’re a real estate development rockstar with a passion for affordable housing and social justice and a knack for project management. You have:Bachelor’s degree in project management, urban planning, public policy, architecture, or related field. Masters preferred.10 years of experience in real estate development, including affordable housing development.5+ years of experience leading complex and affordable housing development projects and partnering with internal leadership to grow organization’s housing pipeline. Prior experience managing a team is required.Excellent project management skills with demonstrated expertise in taking several developments from conception to completion.Commitment to serving individuals experiencing homelessness. Understanding of and sensitivity to issues related to homeless, low income, mentally disabled, and chemically dependent persons.Proven affordable housing finance expertise.Northern California real estate experience.Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, email, internet, and calendaring applications. Must have excellent Excel and tracking skills and experience with project management software. Must have experience building and updating financial models in MS Excel.Strong community networking skills and ability to build resources and relationships.Excellent interpersonal skills with a
