Pharmacy Technician II

The Pharmacy Technician II will be responsible for performing daily dispensing duties that were previously only performed by a Pharmacist, allowing the Pharmacist more time to focus on clinical duties. This role will also involve staffin Home Infusion Pharmacy, entering demographics and orders into the computer accurately and timely, completing monthly stock inventory, and answering phone calls. Other responsibilities include compounding IV and piggyback medications, completing prior authorizations, and following USP 797 guidelines.

Certifications and licensures required include a Pharmacy Technician Licensure and the completion of certain background checks and trainings. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of Hospital Pharmacy experience, extensive IV compounding experience, and home infusion experience.

Physical and mental requirements include being able to move freely about the facility, wear personal protective equipment, and handle multiple tasks.
