Application Support Analyst
for Level 2 support for our Middle Office Platform/Applications. This role is to be located in either
Pittsburgh
or
Lake Mary (Northern Orlando, FL)
offices via hybrid in office arrangement (3 days per week).In this role, youll make an impact in the following ways:Responsible for managing overall availability, reliability, and defect prevention.Respond to, diagnose, and resolve service disruptionsIdentify, define, and implement required monitoring and automation solutionsWork closely with developers on continuous integration/continuous delivery solutionsConduct root cause analysis for complex production issuesReviews and evaluates project plans and objectives to ensure they meet system needs.Monitors changes to applications and their operating environmentCreate and maintain support documentation and proceduresAbility to deal with time sensitive issues in support of critical service level commitmentsShould be willing to work weekendsTo be successful in this role, were seeking the following:Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required4-6 years of experience in applications support or production environment required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plusHave knowledge and/or prior experience supporting Middle office Trade processing and trade flowReconcile and validate trade capture and day trading activity in a timely and accurate manner.Coordinate with front office and other support teams, locally and globally, to address trade related enquiries and issuesAnalytic and data driven experience in supporting applications part of the Trade LifecycleExperience in deployment and strong debugging skills in DockerExperience with IBM MQ/ messaging and Rabbit MQ middleware queuesExperience with Ruby, Java, .NET applications frameworkExperience with Postgresql and Oracle databases and writing complex SQL queries.Experience with monitoring tools a plus Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, Moogsoft or related solutionsFamiliarity with ITIL Service Management.Troubleshoot and escalate alerts that cannot be resolved to appropriate sectionPrioritize and handle service requests, incidents, change management and problem ticketsAt BNY, our culture speaks for itself.
