THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FULL 3 YEARS OF ICU EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED.The right candidate will have 3 full years of current ICU experience and hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and AZ license or compact license (TNCC is preferred).Travelers could also float to the sister facility if needed.Typically, every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage.Flexibility is a must.Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval.Job Requirements

Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:2, 1:1Common diagnoses/Types of patients include Level 1 trauma, Falls, GSW, blunt trauma, MVAs, trauma patients over age of 15, Ex-lap, crani, specialty neuro-surgery cases, CVA, post-TPA, COVID, sepsis, ARDS.Charge Nurse duties include not taking patients.No nurse aids on the unit, only used for sitters and as Health Unit Secretary.Hospitalist or Intensivist in house 24/7.RT in ICU 24/7.Self scheduling.Unit/Department specific orientation 1-2 days.May have 1 holiday off in an assignment.Additional Details
Experience must also include EITHER neuro or CV.UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48hrs PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE of a position. MAX ATTEMPTS IS 2.Surgical ICU - Trauma Neuro SurgeryExpectation is to float between all 3 ICUs.Float to tele with a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio as needed.
