Certifications: Chemo certification not required. Certified RN will administer IV/PO Chemo. Must-Have: - Current Washington nursing license- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical Oncology- Ability to float to all Med-Surg units Job Description: - Provide care in General Surgery and OB-GYN settings- Work with various procedures including hysterectomy, myomectomy, pelvic exenteration, small bowel obstruction, and port access/de-access- Manage patients experiencing intractable pain/nausea- Set up and care for chest tubes- Administer blood and blood products, care for drains, feeding tubes, and fistula- Operate syringe pumps, wound vac, epidural pumps, PCA pumps- Handle PICC/Central lines, Port-A-Cath/Vascular devices, and triple lumen catheter- Administer medications such as Heparin and Insulin- Conduct biopsies with focus on GI, GU/Renal, and Peripheral Vascular- Participate in non-billable modules averaging 16 hours, completed pre-start and annually- Ensure completion of required orientationCandidates must be prepared to float between facilities within a 40-mile radius if needed. Maintaining flexibility and adaptability is essential for successful assignment completion.
