Unit Staffing Environment: The nurse to patient ratio is a 2:1 for ICU levels of care. However, for bed management purposes they could have MNS level patients and a higher ratio by themselves with someone on call. There is a supervisor in-house that could assist them until the on-call nurse arrives. There are generally 2 nurses on unless the unit low volume census a nurse but would have back up available until that nurse comes in. Must assess and identify patient problems/needs, establish a plan of care, implement interventions, and evaluate and revise the patient plan of care based on patient progress.
Supports organizational efforts to continuously improve patient satisfaction scores.Performs and documents physical and psychosocial assessment of patients. Treats co-workers with courtesy and respect. Actively works to strengthen interdepartmental relationships.Provides comfort the patients and families, including prompt and effective nursing management.
