The Role & Team:
As a Broadcast Maintenance Engineer, you will require expertise in video and audio technology and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues in a production studio environment.
Your expertise in designing, installing, and integrating production systems, including audio and video routers, switchers, and automation systems, ensures that all components work together seamlessly to facilitate smooth operations and efficiencies. Keeping abreast of advancements in broadcast technology and industry trends is a must.
This role reports directly to the Director of Media Studios and sits on the Product & Technology Team. This position is based in our New York City HQ with an in-office presence of at least 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:Maintain and repair a wide range of production equipmentSupport of Ross Video Ultix Router, Carbonite Switcher and XpressionSupport audio and video signal integrityCreate and update engineering design and changes are implementedResearch and develop products that would benefit the studios team, our editorial teams, or various video producersThe Ideal Candidate Has:
Experience in a broadcast production environmentDemonstrable knowledge of HD, 4K, NDI video compression, audio and video signal flowExperience in design and updating engineering drawings via Autodesk CADEffective communication skills, being clear and conciseMaintaining a positive, can-do attitude that encourages and motivates the team, especially during challenging timesSalary & Benefits:
