The Administrative Assistant / IT Tech Support will assist the IT team with various administrative tasks. This role aims to enhance the efficiency of the technical team by managing specific administrative functions. Responsibilities include overseeing helpdesk operations, managing and dispatching helpdesk tickets, and providing technical support to workstation users. The position encompasses all aspects of technical support, including workstations, servers, software, and network components. Additionally, this role may require leading IT projects as needed.
Specific Job Duties:
60% - AdministrationIT related purchasing and requisition management. Follow full cycle until receipt or item/service purchasedSchedule meetings in Outlook and circulate agendas as neededTaking meeting notes for subsequent distributionOrganize and maintain all IT related contracts and schedule of paymentsDirect employees to the appropriate IT team member for assistanceDocumentation filing and organization or various recordsOccasional support to other departments as business needs warrant40% - Tech Support
Manage and Dispatch Helpdesk TicketsAccountable for maintaining software and hardware systems that support the organization's internal users.Solve routine and unusual problems and provide feedback to internal teams.Develop a good understanding of the organization's ERP/MRP software. Assist users with issues as needed.Help improve workflows and create documentation for processes and procedures.Monitor mission-critical software and hardware systems and their availability.Understand relational database concepts and Windows Desktop/Server technology.Security coordination related to responding to and managing security-related events, incidents, and managing our network security infrastructure (SEIM service, firewall, endpoint protection systems, and vulnerability management systems, etc.) and leading/participating in network security projects.Organize smaller IT projects and see them through to completion.Perform all other tasks assigned by Threshold management.Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to take direction from various team members and work with limited supervisionExcellent organizational and time management skillsWorking knowledge of standard office equipment (copier, printer etc.)Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointHigh school diploma or GED. College grad preferableExtensive Windows 10/11 knowledge as well as Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019.Experience with O365 management.Experienced in Network Administration (MS Active Directory) and Microsoft Online Exchange Server.Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft and/or Cisco Certification, or equivalent education, or work experience.Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to multi-task and shift focus within changing deadlines and priorities.Special Conditions of Employment:
This is a fully on-premises position, and the selected candidate must have a valid driver's license with no restrictions as they may be required to work at our local warehouse facility.Ability to work long periods of time at a computer with or without accommodation.The ability to bend, squat, crawl, and lift to 50 pounds.May require occasional overtime and/or weekend work.
