NJM's SIU department in West Trenton, NJ is seeking a Summer Intern for 2025.
Ready to apply Before you do, make sure to read all the details pertaining to this job in the description below.Job Responsibilities:Triaging and analyzing scorecards and outputs from predictive models for General Claims, Personal Lines, Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims and Medical Providers.Conduct data mining efforts to explore anomalies, conduct statistical analysis, and identify patterns and trends related to fraudulent Personal Lines and Commercial Lines policies and claims.Conduct background research on available public databases to support the need for the escalation of the claim review.Review NJM databases, retrieve NJM recorded calls, and support the investigative teams.Provide metrics and statistics, as well as actionable intelligence to aid in decision making.Articulate and convey analyses into information that can be consumed by non-technical staff.Share analytical findings with SIU Supervisory staff.Attend virtual industry meetings to broaden exposure to the insurance industry.Required Skills & Qualifications:Math, Statistics, Data Analytics, and/or Criminal Justice majors in their Junior or Senior year preferred.Data Analysis skillsOrganizational skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal, written, technical and presentation communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office SuitePro-active and self-motivatedAbility to listen effectively and actively engage others.Ability to work in a collaborative environment.Ability to conduct online research and review results.Legal Disclaimer: NJM is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
