FP&A Senior Cost Analyst

Scope of Position
We are seeking an experienced FP&A Senior Cost Analyst to join our finance team. Reporting to the Vice President of FP&A, the successful candidate will lead efforts in analyzing and interpreting supply chain data, identifying cost trends and performance metrics, and providing insights to drive cost optimization. This role requires a strong analytical mindset to support key financial initiatives, from cost analysis to budget planning and reporting.
Responsibilities
Cost AnalysisPerform in-depth cost analysis by evaluating financial data, cost structures, and pricing models.Identify cost drivers, variances, and trends, offering recommendations for cost reduction and operational efficiency.Bill of Materials (BOM) Coordination
Lead coordination efforts with co-manufacturing and procurement teams to ensure accuracy and updates to BOMs.Process Improvement
Spearhead system implementations and initiatives to improve financial and supply chain processes.Budget & Forecasting
Collaborate with the supply chain team to develop and manage budget assumptions for cost of goods, transportation, and logistics.Financial Reporting
Prepare financial and cost reports, including variance analysis, to monitor performance against budgets and targets.Communicate key insights to management, highlighting risks and opportunities.Cost Estimation & Decision Support
Provide accurate cost estimates for new products, projects, or initiatives to assist in decision-making.Analyze financial risks, profitability, and potential returns to support investment evaluations.Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, procurement, and senior management, to gather data and ensure alignment on cost analysis and reporting.Supply Chain Data Analysis
Collect, analyze, and interpret data from co-manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics to identify trends and performance metrics.KPI Reporting
Generate regular reports and dashboards to track KPIs and cost savings, communicating insights to key stakeholders.Supply Chain Evaluation
Assess existing supply chain processes, systems, and procedures to identify areas for improvement.Invoice Discrepancy Resolution
Diagnose and resolve invoice discrepancies across all co-packers.Spend Analysis
Conduct spend analysis for contract bids and price increases to ensure financial efficiency.Production Planning
Use production plans, demand forecasts, and upside files to determine necessary volume requirements.Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Experience
4-7 years of experience in analytics, planning, supply chain, logistics, or procurement.Hands-on experience with supply chain or planning roles, preferably in an industrial setting.Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in time management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.Experience with SAP and familiarity with financial planning systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of management, co-packers, and customers.Ability to lead meetings and coordinate across departments.Independent worker with minimal supervision required.
