We are looking for an experienced marketing data analyst who is
ready for a transformational role to help lead the continued evolution of available marketing data and analytics to measure marketing effectiveness and how marketing achieves business objectives . The Marketing Analytics Lead is a role on the Business Intelligence team with the Client Product & Strategy organization. Over the past few years, we have significantly evolved the maturity of our marketing analytics capabilities and we are looking someone to lead that continued progress and continue to evolve and shape our marketing data and analytics. The right candidate will demonstrate that they can use data to tell stories, effectively identify actionable insights, and communicate the impact marketing has on business objectives.Wellington Management offers comprehensive investment management capabilities that span most segments of the global capital markets. Our employees are encouraged to work remotely two days a week as standard practice and will have flexibility in terms of working hours.Responsibilities Oversee the planning, development, and execution of marketing analytics strategy and framework:Develop and implement the marketing analytics strategy and performance reporting processes that focuses on business outcomesStandardize a global marketing measurement framework and identifying KPIs (key performance indicators) to measure the impact of marketing.Defining the team's support model for different marketing stakeholders to ensure sufficient support of analytics needs.Creating an annual analytics research agenda that aligns resourcing with business priorities and supporting the development of ad hoc analyses.Acting as the lead "sense-maker" or "data interpreter" for marketing leadership, helping them contextualize disparate data sources and inconsistent conclusions.Outlining measurement plans for multichannel marketing programs and campaigns that evaluate the multichannel impact of marketing activities on engagement.Refine our marketing analytics business processes:Managing the existing marketing analytics vendor team.Managing the performance of web, email, social, and media measurement resources and oversee optimization, including data collection and analysis.Selecting and managing external service providers for marketing analytics.Supporting marketing colleagues in articulating measurable program outcomes and selecting consistent measurement metrics during the planning phase.Ensuring data and insights are communicated effectively in a way that is timely, tailored, and contextualized to the target audience.Managing the timely delivery of reporting and insights and craft user-friendly answers to basic marketing questions (e.g., executive dashboards).Creating and maintaining a marketing performance baseline and benchmark marketing metrics against relevant standards and competitors.Standardizing how we measure ROI (return on investment) across search, display, mobile, social, and offline marketing channels.Qualifications/SkillsDigital marketing platform knowledge, including:Common website analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) widely used ad serving and technology platforms, social listening and analytics platforms, and email analytics.Social listening and analytics platforms, including engagement and sentiment analysis.Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Knowledge of common statistical analysis methods (e.g., propensity, classification, text mining and sentiment analysis) and tools.Analytic modeling using methods such as basic statistics, software-assisted segmentation, and linear regression; Quantitative analysis (e.g., engineering, statistics, finance, mathematics, or economics).Experience determining business impact through various approaches to analysis and use of tools, including:10 years of marketing analytics experience preferably within the asset management industry.Multitouch, algorithmic attribution models and media mix modeling, understanding typical approaches, methods, challenges, and output of both models.Knowledge of measurement methods, such as net promoter scores, customer lifetime value, customer engagement, propensity-to-buy and propensity-to-churn.Testing methodologies, including A/B, multivariate and multiarmed bandit algorithms.Editing databases and performing queries (e.g., SQL, Python), and working with data warehouses and other relational database storage environments.Incorporating offline and external online (e.g., CRM) data into an online marketing campaign analysis.Developing custom approaches to complex measurement challenges such as video, social and content marketing.Location The Client and Product Strategy Specialist will be based in Wellington's office in Boston, MA (280 Congress Street).Not sure you meet 100% of our qualifications? The base salary range for this position is:USD 65,000 - 150,000 This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education.
