All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.Under the supervision of the Associate Dean and Director of Counseling, Health, and Wellness, the Associate Director provides clinical leadership and guidance to the Health Services staff at the Emerson Wellness Center. This role includes overseeing and implementing operational protocols and clinical activities in alignment with ethical principles and compliance standards. The Associate Director also maintains a reduced clinical caseload to manage additional organizational duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIESProvide supervision, clinical leadership, and guidance to the Health Services staff.Oversee, evaluate, and implement operational protocols and clinical activities in line with ethical principles and compliance standards, including staff licensure and certifications.Maintain a reduced clinical caseload while managing daily operations of the health unit.Supervise and mentor staff, including Clinical Coordinators and Advanced Practice Clinicians.Resolve complex or escalated matters as needed.Monitor and ensure departmental processes, resources, supplies, and budgets comply with standards.Evaluate and improve departmental operations for increased effectiveness.Manage relationships with external partners and vendors.Establish a referral network with area clinicians, mental health clinics, and hospitals for therapeutic and emergency services.Oversee care for high-risk clients, including crisis intervention, emergency services, and support for residence education staff.Manage immunization compliance and oversee responses to infectious disease outbreaks.Participate in emergency or crisis management procedures.Direct and manage the on-call schedule.Coordinate post-hospitalization processes and protocols for students.Oversee scheduling and record-keeping systems for the center.Collaborate with internal college stakeholders and students on complex issues.Perform other projects and duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS -

Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to perform the job effectively.Nurse Practitioner with a Master's degree in nursing or a health-related field requiredEligible for licensure in Massachusetts and obtaining a DEA license and MA Controlled Substance registration required7 years of direct clinical experience and 3-5 years of progressive management experience requiredExperience with project management software requiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES -
