The right candidate would be someone that is fun and flexible plus functions well in a team setting but can still operate independently when needed. This position is per diem (as needed), in the Ultrasound department at Rex Holly Springs Hospital. Our Ultrasound department helps cover ER patients, inpatients, and outpatients including general ultrasound, limited OB, and vascular studies. Per diem staff are required to cover at a minimum of 2 shifts or 12 hours a month, when hours are available. Provides standardization and training to residents regarding these exams. Performs the ultrasound procedure under general or direct supervision, as defined by the procedure and/or physician. Recognizes sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissues, structures, and blood flow. Analyzes sonography findings throughout the course of the examination so that a comprehensive exam is completed and sufficient data is provided to the physician. Images structures while simultaneously obtaining Doppler signal and recording images and Doppler shift recordings along with patient information for interpretation by a radiologist. Education Requirements: ● Completion of a twelve (12) month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography / General Ultrasound or equivalent certificate program is required.
