Role Overview
The Head of IT and Business Systems will oversee all facets of our IT infrastructure and business systems. Harvey is growing rapidly and this person will develop and execute an IT and business systems strategy that supports efficient scaling. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in IT leadership in high-growth environments and a deep understanding of business systems that drive operational efficiency. This role also requires expertise in selecting and procuring new software tools and managing costs of existing software tools.What You'll Do
Strategic IT Leadership:Develop and execute an IT strategy that aligns technology initiatives with organizational goals to enhance scalability and efficiency .
IT Infrastructure Management:Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, hardware, and software.
Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all IT systems.
Business Systems Optimization:Implement, integrate, manage and optimize enterprise business systems Systems include, but are not limited to, SFDC, Netsuite, Zip, Carta, etc.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technology solutions to improve business processes and data flow.
Security and Compliance:Partner closely with the Security team to establish and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2).
Team Development:Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Vendor Relations:Manage relationships with external service providers.
Negotiate agreements with external vendors.
Budget Management:Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Identify opportunities for cost savings through technology enhancements.
Innovation and Growth:Recommend and implement solutions to drive efficiency and automation.
What You Have
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum 12+ years experience in IT roles within SaaS companies or high-growth startups, with at least 6 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record in scaling IT infrastructure and business systems from an early stage environment to scale. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and security protocols.
Extensive experience with enterprise systems (SFDC, Netsuite, Workday and other complex platforms) and their integration.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Demonstrated experience in managing technology budgets, optimizing costs, negotiating contracts and managing software tool vendors.
