We are seeking a highly motivated Energy/Government Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in expanding sales within the Lighting Retrofitting, ESCO, Switchgear, MCC, Utility Incentive, and Government (Federal, State, Local) customer segments. Be part of a company with a rich history and a commitment to exceptional service, competitive pricing, and high-quality products.Details of the opportunity...Essential Functions for the Sr. Outside Sales Representative: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share within the energy and government sectors.Collaborate closely with Inside Sales, Project Management, and internal support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.Conduct both phone and face-to-face sales calls to promote our product offerings to new and existing customers.Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by assisting clients in identifying parts, providing quotes, and processing orders related to electrical materials, lighting, and gear.Build and nurture relationships with contractors and vendors through effective negotiation and detailed attention to customer needs.Exhibit a professional demeanor, conduct, and appearance at all times.Engage in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.Complete all other tasks assigned by the leadership team to support overall business objectives.Job DetailsAre you a fit for the role? Apply now if you have the following: 3-10+ years of prior experience in the electrical industry, and/or renewable energy, lighting/ESCO. or similar industries is preferred. High School diploma required; Bachelor's or Trade Industry Electrical Degrees preferred. Willingness to call on government, industrial and commercial companies which build projects demanding electrical construction materials.
Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time within the DMV area to visit customers.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; familiarity with Eclipse software for job management is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize hitting a sales quota effectively.Highly preferred, not required: Established Customer relationships within the Government Sector.
