SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented Integration Engineer to support our programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software. This is a unique opportunity to join a small business that provides core capabilities for National Security and Defense. Our teams focus on low-latency data processing for exploitation of remote sensing systems. Our ideal candidate will be a well-rounded, experienced engineer who can coordinate across multiple teams, lead a team to integrate multiple components into an orchestrated Government framework, and work well as part of a rapid pace, collaborative, small-team environment.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for our software projectsAutomate deployment, scaling, and monitoring infrastructure using tools such as Kubernetes and DockerTroubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and performanceCollaborate with development teams to optimize code for performance, scalability, and reliabilityImplement and enforce best practices for security and compliance.Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to our DevOps processes and toolsBuild tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve developer experiencePerform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issuesDesign procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenanceOther duties as assigned
Requirements
A bachelor's of science degree in computer science, engineering, physical sciences, mathematics, or similar fieldAt least five years professional experience designing and developing application container deployment solutions using docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes, etc.At least five years professional experience and fluency in one or more of the following languages: C++, PythonAt least three years professional experience building and executing DevOps or DevSecOps solutions using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) such as gitlab-ci and/or JenkinsAt least three years ongoing experience using Linux operating systems to develop softwareStrong experience maintaining deployment environments for development, test and productionDetail orientedGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work full-time in-person in Boulder, CO office locationAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred:
An advanced degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer scienceExperience with OpenShiftExperience implementing features of C++ 14, 17, and 20 standardsProfessional experience with Agile software developmentA current active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher

The pay range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 per year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
