SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented Full Stack Software Developer in El Segundo, CA or Princeton, NJ to support programs focusing on simulating missile events and injecting simulated representative returns through mission processing and displays to support training, functional testing, and exercise. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Helm, thrive as part of a rapidly paced, collaborative, small-team environment consisting of Scientists, Engineers, and Developers, and be able to prototype, develop, integrate, and test advanced software solutions.

Responsibilities

Work independently and with our team to develop additional software features to satisfy contract requirementsAssist in containerization, testing, and deployment of software for delivery to customersOther duties as assigned

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science5+ years professional modeling and simulation experienceBackground in statisticsStrong proficiency in PythonInterest in analysis workDemonstrable understanding of principles related to software engineeringCommitment to quality in code and software engineering practicesThe ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearanceDetail orientedGood verbal and written communication skills

Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred

An advanced degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer scienceExperience with CesiumFamiliarity with messaging technologies such as protobuf, ZMQ, Kafka, gRPC, REST APIsFamiliarity with microservice architecturesProfessional experience with DevOps processes and tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Gitlab-CI/CDExperience with SQL, PostGIS, Redis, MongoDBExperience with OPIR, E/O, SAR, Spectral, RF, or other remotely sensed dataA current DoD security clearance

The pay range for this position is $116,000 - $140,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
