What You Will Do

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Intelligence Manager to join our dynamic team at Spearmint Energy. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading data and business intelligence efforts to support our business strategies and operational efficiencies. This role requires a strong proficiency in cloud-based platforms, particularly Azure Data Lake Warehouse, Microsoft 365, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Snowflake, and Power BI.

Core Responsibilities:Data Strategy Development:Develop and implement data strategies that align with the company's core objectives, driving optimal value creation.Data Management:

Oversee the collection, storage, and maintenance of data using Microsoft Azure services.Manage data integration and interoperability between Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Snowflake environments.Ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility across all platforms.

Business Intelligence:

Develop and manage BI tools and systems within the Microsoft Power BI ecosystem.Provide actionable insights from data to support decision-making in renewable energy projects.

Data Analysis:

Lead teams in analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improving energy efficiency and sustainability.Apply advanced analytics techniques to derive insights from large datasets.

Reporting:

Create and present reports to stakeholders, highlighting key data insights and recommendations.Develop dashboards and visualizations using Power BI to communicate data findings effectively.

Collaboration:

Work closely across the organization to understand unique data needs.Ensure the organization has the necessary data to achieve their objectives.

Team Leadership:

Manage and mentor analysts, developers, and other partners within the organization on implementing effective data and business intelligence practices.Provide training and development opportunities focused on cloud-based data management and analytics.

Compliance:

Ensure that data practices comply with relevant laws and regulations, particularly those related to energy and environmental standards.Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.

Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data management, business intelligence, and analytics, preferably within the renewable energy sector.Technical Skills:

Proficiency in cloud-based data platforms including Azure DataLake, AWS, and Snowflake.Strong experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI.Working knowledge of M365 applications and their integration with data platforms.Experience with SQL, Python, or other scripting languages is helpful for data manipulation and automation.Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.Understanding of data governance, security principles, and best practices.

Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Leadership: Experience in the renewable energy sector or a related industry, with a proven track record of mentoring and developing team members.Adaptability: Strong capacity to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Physical requirements and environment:

Outdoor work at projects sites may be required year-round and in various weather conditions. Some sites may require travel by small regional jets and stays at basic hotels.While the company's offices operate during traditional business hours, employees often work outside these hours due to company objectives such as communicating across time zones, traveling, and attending meetings.
