We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician with a strong focus on networking, phone systems, and security to join our growing IT team. If you are passionate about technology, problem-solving, and providing excellent customer service, we want to hear from you Position Overview: The IT Technician I will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to local and remote users. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of networking, phone systems (VoIP), and security protocols. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our IT infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the security and functionality of our systems. Key Responsibilities: Provide timely and effective first-line technical support for desktops, mobile devices, networks, and phone systems. Diagnoses, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network problems for end-users. Assist in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of VoIP phone systems, including configuring extensions, managing call flows, and resolving voice-related issues. Support and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points. Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring that all systems adhere to security policies and best practices. Conduct regular system and security audits, applying necessary patches and updates. Assist with setting up user accounts, permissions, and security settings in alignment with company policies. Document all issues, resolutions, and procedures. Collaborate with fellow IT team members, and users, to ensure smooth deployment of new technologies, tools, and upgrades. Assist with maintaining the inventory of IT equipment and ensuring that all hardware and software are up to date. Qualifications: Experience in a help desk or technical support role, with knowledge of networking, phone systems (VoIP), and security. Strong knowledge of networking protocols and troubleshooting (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, etc.) Experience with VoIP phone systems (configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting) Familiarity with firewalls, security policies, and best practices for securing an IT environment Proficiency with Windows operating system Experience with ticketing systems, remote desktop tools, and Active Directory: CompTIA A, Network, Security or similar certifications are highly desirable Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on teamwork Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Customer-focused attitude and commitment to providing outstanding technical support All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin, and protected veteran status, or disability status.
