Job DescriptionThe terminal operator is responsible for operational activities including product sampling & testing, facility inspections, loading & unloading product, emergency response, and accurate documentation of activities performed. The terminal operator must complete required safety & compliance training and must adhere to all safety & compliance regulations per standard operating procedures.General Duties and Responsibilities:Must work safely at all times.Operation of process related equipment, preventative maintenance of equipment and product quality sampling.Testing, basic product accounting, product measurement, working with flammable corrosive chemicals and loading and unloading rail tank cars and trucks.Perform duties in accordance with established company operating, maintenance and emergency response procedures, while adhering to state and federal regulations.Perform regular safety inspections as detailed by company policy.Complete and maintain all required records and filing systems.Building, yard, and property maintenance, to include mowing, weed eating, and debris removal.Some travel may be required to support other terminal locationsOther duties as assigned.Job duties must be performed On-Site; regular attendance at the worksite is required.Position Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMechanical aptitude required, must demonstrate dexterity in the use of tools and equipment; electrical training and/or aptitude preferred.Basic Computer Skills required.Technical certification or equivalent training/experience in a processing plant, pipeline or similar industry is desired; terminal Loading System experience preferred.Good verbal/ written communication skills are required.Good problem-solving and organizational skills are necessary.Able to maintain and promote good working relationships within a team environment. Must be able to work reliably both independently and cooperatively as part of a team.Must be able to work shift work and be flexible regarding work schedule. Must be willing to work overtime and handle callouts as required. Selected employee must live or relocate to within 1-hour response time of assigned job location.Able to assume responsibility, be flexible, perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.Ability to work outside in all weather conditions - minimum 80% outdoor; up to 20% office environment.Must be able to read, write and speak the English language at a 12th grade level, perform mathematical calculations required for the job and learn to interpret and comprehend company policies, procedures, safety instructions, and other like documents used in an energy industry environment.Training to be successfully completed after employment includes: TTC Bureau of Explosives, Homeland Security Chemical Awareness, STS Fire Prevention, Hazwoper Training, and other training as directed; periodic retraining may be required.Experience/Education:HS diploma/GED is requiredValid Driver's license with acceptable driving record is requiredMinimum of two (2) years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry (preferably midstream) is preferred.Physical requirements: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
