Apex Systems is hiring Computer Techs to support a 2 week migration project with one of our clients. This project requires selected candidates to work all 14 days (no time off during the 2-week project). The number of hours you will work each day will fluctuate, so you MUST be available to work between the hours of 8AM-8PM. No previous IT experience is required, so this is a great opportunity for candidates that are interested in breaking into the IT field OR those that have some experience and are looking for some project work to add their CV. Job Title: Computer Tech Location: Dallas, TX Pay: $17-$22/hr. Duration: Contract-to-hire Position will start 11/10 and help with a 2 week migration before transitioning into full time on site desktop support. Job description: Arrive onsite at appointed time Site Lead Check-in with the onsite POC Locate equipment and determine your work area (POC will let us know) Taking inventory of equipment (new and old) Capturing Serial 's Unboxing new equipment and disposing of trash in designated areas Assisting end users with login and setup of desktop environment Outlook signatures One Drive Sync Browser favorites M365 application functionality Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware. Performs general maintenance tasks and resolves problems immediately, while more complex issues are identified to a higher level of support. Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems and workstations. Manage queue, complete onsite repairs, manage inventory, update calls. Requirements: 2 years of HelpDesk and Ticketing experience High School Diploma or GED Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license/ID Good communication and reading skills Ability to follow instructions Technical aptitude/familiarity - no necessary experience needed
