The Lee Memorial Hospital Acute Rehabilitation Therapy Department is actively seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our talented Acute Care Therapy Team. Lee Memorial Hospital is an accredited Orthopedic Center of Excellence, Primary Stroke Center, and dedicates specialized care to our Critical Care, Orthopedic, Musculoskeletal, General Surgery, Surgical Wound Care, and General Medicine service lines.We are looking for clinicians dedicated to providing high-quality comprehensive care for our specialty services lines and who are interested in promoting the growth and development of our Acute Care Therapy Services by collaborating in our unique patient care programs including our orthopedic pre-operative and post-operative care programs, ICU Early Activity, Why Not Home, and In House Rehabilitation programs.We value teamwork and take an interdisciplinary approach to elevate patient satisfaction and provide patients with the individualized care they deserve. PTAs implement selected components of patient/client interventions and obtain data related to that intervention; make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the Physical Therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort; educate and interact with Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant students, technicians, volunteers, patients/clients families, caregivers; and respond to patient/client and environmental emergency situations. The PTA is expected to conduct themselves in an effective professional behavior manner.
