Senior Country Project Officer (CPO)
to join our team in the
Tysons Corner or Reston, VA
location. This is an
onsite
position.
The successful candidate will manage all projects pertaining to a group of partner countries, including systems deployments and maintenance, and ensure the timely completion of all field operations and projects while maintaining constant engagement and communication with external stakeholders worldwide.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Planning, pre-staging, directing, scheduling, and ensuring the timely execution of all tasks for new system installations, operations and maintenance, and upgrade field deployments
Serving as the primary point of contact for all overseas deployments
Working closely with the Engineering, Operations, and Logistics teams to ensure day-to-day execution of all installation, maintenance, and integration tasks
Managing interactions with external stakeholder personnel, both in-country and remotely, to ensure the successful completion of mission objectives
Communicating status and information to the Sponsor and documenting appropriately
Recommending process improvements and cost-saving measures for potential approval and implementation
Basic Qualifications:10+ years of relevant experience serving as a Project Manager or similar work leading high performing teams
Ability and willingness to travel overseas 25% - 50% of the time
Strong experience managing multiple complex projects at once and
balancing/deconflicting
priorities between a primary customer organization and multiple external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience managing worldwide projects and managing interactions with worldwide stakeholders desired
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired
Clearance Requirements:Must have an active/current TS/SCI w/ polygraph.
Physical Requirements:Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
