What you will do:The Aeroacoustic Engineer is a

senior engineer within the sound and vibration engineering team focused on fluid-dynamics and acoustics. In this role, you will provide knowledge and insight to a multidisciplinary team designing centrifugal compressors.

You will provide sound and vibration technical support on a variety of projects ranging from product development to field support; working collaboratively with product engineering, product/project management, marketing, product technical services, and sales teams.

How you will do it:Utilize commercial software for centrifugal compressor pulsation prediction early in the design process.

Lead gas block acoustic testing of new designs, extracting data and preparing reports demonstrating the acoustic performance of a design.

Recommend and implement new technology for lower sound levels.

Enhance existing compressor design methodology.

Apply process and project management techniques to execute programs within budget and schedule.

Investigate and mitigate aero-acoustic anomalies using experimental and analytical techniques.

What we look for:RequiredBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related science.

Minimum 4 years’ related experience

In-depth understanding of compressor aeroacoustic design process.

Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Access and Project.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PreferredAdvanced degree in acoustics or degree with a focus in acoustics.

Proficiency in the use of acoustic data acquisition and analysis tools including Wave6 and Mueller-BBM PAK.

Proficiency in ANSYS for structural applications.

Strong background in manufacturing processes of aerodynamic components.

Strong project management skills.
