*Overview:* The Athletic Trainer is responsible for the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and conditions. This role involves working with athletes across various sports, ensuring their physical readiness and promoting overall health and wellness.

*Key Responsibilities:*
1. *Injury Prevention:** Develop and implement injury prevention programs.* Conduct pre-participation physical assessments.* Educate athletes on proper techniques, conditioning, and nutrition.
2. *Injury Assessment and Treatment:** Evaluate injuries and provide immediate care.* Administer first aid and emergency care as needed.* Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals for diagnosis and treatment plans.
3. *Rehabilitation:** Design and oversee rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.* Monitor progress and adjust programs as necessary.* Ensure safe return-to-play protocols are followed.
4. *Record Keeping:** Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation progress.* Prepare reports for coaches, parents, and medical personnel, as needed.
5. *Collaboration and Communication:** Work closely with Athletic Director, Assistant Athletic Director, coaches, athletes, and parents to promote health and safety.* Provide education on injury management and prevention strategies.
6. *Event Coverage:** Attend practices and games to provide on-site medical support.* Coordinate emergency procedures for events.
*Qualifications:** Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training* Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.* Pennsylvania State licensure as required.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
*Physical Requirements:** Ability to lift and carry equipment and assist injured athletes.* Physical stamina for long hours of activity.
*Work Environment:** Personalized Training Room* Personalized Office* Flexible Hours* Great Team at Blue Ridge* Quick Access to all gyms* Typically work in school during the day* May require travel to competitions and events.
