VCA Cat Hospital of Philadelphia are looking to add full time Credentialed Veterinary Technician to the medical team! Our AAHA-accredited facility has been helping felines live long and healthy lives for more than 40 years. We deliver the best medical care for cats and the best experience for the cat owner.

You’ve worked hard for your credentials (CVT, RVT, LVT) and we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. Physical examinations and patient assessmentAnesthesia monitoringSurgical preparation and assistingDentistryRadiologyLaboratory workVenipunctureCatheter placementPharmacyPatient recoveryCompassionate care of our hospitalized animals
In the supervisor role, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Directing work flow on the floorAssists in the educational development of technicians and their skillsHelp with the interview process for potential new hiresTechnician SchedulingAssists in staffing and coverage where neededAssists in basic protocol and standard procedure trainingProvide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experienceMentoring technicians within the departmentWorking with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the serviceEnsure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.
The salary range for this position starts at $32/hr based on experience.
