DRB Group, a large reputable homebuilding company, is looking for two (2) paralegals to join its in-house legal team! If you are looking for an exciting position at a company where each team member is a valued asset and employee engagement is a priority, this position is for you.
As a Paralegal, you will primarily assist a growing team of eight (8) in-house attorneys, two (2) existing paralegals, and a risk management analyst, by performing the below stated duties:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing general assistance in real estate transactions.
- Proofreading legal documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Performing legal due diligence.
- Preparing documents relating to a variety of real estate matters based on consultation with, and review by, in-house attorneys, including contracts, leases, security instruments, escrow/closing instructions, and closing documents.
- Analyzing and summarizing documents and legal authorities for review by in-house real estate attorneys.
- Working closely with in-house attorneys in connection with general corporate and other matters and supporting a broad range of corporate transactions and projects.
- Reviewing surveys, title commitments and exception documents.
- Multi-tasking and prioritizing work assignments to consistently provide high-quality work product within stated deadlines.
- General administrative functions.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office products
- Strong computer capabilities
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret statutes, contracts and other legal documents
- General working knowledge of office equipment
- Ability to solve practical problems
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Strong team-player; able to work with diverse groups of people

- Ability and willingness to work effectively with coworkers, senior management, and outside legal counsel
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and at minimum 1-2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior experience and understanding of real estate law desirable
- Prior litigation experience desirable
