General Production Worker

**Job Title: General Production Worker****Job Description**We are looking for candidates who can work as material handlers in a plastic pipe extrusion company. The job involves removing pipes from the extrusion machine, placing and stacking them onto racks. Once a rack is full, you will band up the pipes to prepare them for forklift transport to scales for weighing. There is an opportunity to get certified on the forklift as well. You will also perform visual checks of the pipes and load defective ones onto scrap pallets. If you excel in this role, there is an opportunity for promotion to an extrusion operator position, which offers higher pay.**Responsibilities**+ Remove pipes from the extrusion machine and place/stack onto racks.+ Band up pipes and prepare them for forklift transport to scales for weighing.+ Perform visual checks of pipes and load defective pipes onto scrap pallets.+ Operate forklift once certified.+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.**Essential Skills**+ General labor and material handling skills.+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.+ Attention to detail for visual checks.+ Willingness to get certified on forklift.**Additional Skills & Qualifications**+ Previous experience in manufacturing or distribution is a plus.+ Experience in extrusion or injection mold environments is advantageous.+ Forklift operating experience is beneficial but not required.**Why Work Here?**You will start as a material handler with the opportunity to progress to an extrusion operator, which offers higher pay. Shifts are 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am, following a 2,2,3 shift pattern. You will work every other weekend, resulting in 5 to 6 months off per year.
