Howmet Engine Systems has an immediate opening for an

Inspector

to assist in the manufacturing process at our facility in Rochester, NY.

Basic Function:

Inspection of Forged metal seamless rings for aerospace.

Responsibilities:Perform set-up of measuring and test equipment as needed to determine dimensional measurements required on customer or in-house product drawings or blueprintsPerform set-up and inspection of those products requiring very close tolerancesPerform over-inspections on outside machiningAudit parts for conformance to procedures and results of inspectionsPerform first article inspections and prepare inspection records as requiredPrepare non-conforming material reportsMaintain a clean and orderly inspection areaPerform final production inspectionQualifications

Basic Qualifications

May be required to wear a respirator for certain tasksMust be able to accurately read standard measuring tools (ruler, Vernier, calipers)Must be able to be certified as a Howmet EHS and OSHA qualified forklift operator with previous forklift operation experienceMust have previous experience in a manufacturing facilityCandidates should be flexible to work up to a 12-hour shiftSalary Range: $19/hr. temp to hire.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
