This position is 0.6 up to a 1.0 FTE. Preferable start date is December 9, 2024. Salary range for non licensed candidates is based on experience and qualifications; minimum of $40,000. Licensed Social Workers follow the Teacher's Master Contract with a salary range of $53,560- $75,406. QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in social work preferred; experience in school setting preferred DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Liaison with students, parents, school staff, and community agencies Develop programs and interventions for general education students whose social/emotional learning challenges are impeding academic progress Conduct targeted skills groups to support students' social-emotional and mental health needs Positive, "can do" attitude Motivate students through effective communication and evaluative feedback Develop positive and supportive relationships focusing on achieving student success in all areas Support high expectations for student achievement and behavior Demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships with others Supporting Tier 2 students with behaviors, who have been referred for interventions from the student assistance team Tracking data for Tier 2 students for documentation in the student referral process Support to the classroom teacher for classroom behavioral interventions, to keep students in the least restrictive environment Use appropriate behavior management techniques to maintain a positive climate Other duties as assigned
