Performs fabrication or modification tasks on RF microwave hybrid modules and sub-assemblies of mid-range to high complexity. Duties include installation of connectors, substrates, components and modules in highly complex microwave assemblies, often utilizing using paste and sheet epoxies. They will also work on detailed soldering of components and assemblies per drawings and specifications.
The qualified candidate, under limited supervision, may use schematics, blueprints or sketches and verbal and written instructions to assemble, rework or re-assemble units.
Duties Include:
- Installation of connectors, substrates, components and modules in highly complex microwave assemblies, often utilizing using paste and sheet epoxies.
- Performs fabrication or modification tasks on RF microwave hybrid modules and sub-assemblies of mid-range to high complexity
- Perform surface mount, fine pitch and through hole soldering
- Able to work with miniaturized tools such as tweezers, fine screwdrivers and soldering irons
- Able to work with precision and follow standardized, existing procedures
- Able to attach wires to load cell tabs by following schematics or wiring diagrams
- Meet high criteria for quality and output on a regular basis
Active secret clearance preferred, willing to consider candidates with a previously held active clearance. Interim secret clearance required to start position. (must be included on resume). Active J-STD-001 certification is needed
Basic Qualifications :
-Previous experience in electronics/microelectronics assembly
-Ability to work 10 hours under a microscope and utilize hand tools such as torque drivers, tweezers and other similar tools; Good dexterity, eye/hand coordination
-Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings; Good computer skills are required to support retrieval of drawings and work instructions as well as other job activities
-Ability to work in a diverse team environment; Good interpersonal, teaming and communication skills
-High School Diploma required
-Active J-STD-001 Certification
-US Person or US Citizen
Desired Skills :
-Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD controlled environment
-Experience in mechanical assembly processes of small electronic devices
-Experience working on military products in ISO 9001 / AS9100 controlled environments
-Ability to work with minimal supervision
