Job Description: Job Summary:

Responsible for physical receipt of products, product staging, and routing of materials into and out of the Business Unit (BU).

Job Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

1) Inspect, and verify items to vendor paperwork, and date stamp product in preparation for putaway.

2) Notify the receiving team of any discrepancies in materials versus shippers’ documentation.

3) Notify the receiving team of any short-dated materials upon receipt (less than 30 days of shelf life) and report to the Lean Supply Supervisor to determine any possible actions that may need to be taken.

4) Put warehoused items in their designated storage areas and rotate stock according to receipt date and expiration dates to ensure proper stock rotation and use prior to expiration.

5) Stage and deliver stock from the warehouse to the appropriate stocking areas within the laboratory departments.

6) Assist in the warehouse cycle counting process.

7) Physically prepare shipments, for outbound shipments.

8) Comply with all applicable and current Materials and Services Management, Human Resources, Employee Health and Safety, Compliance, OSHA, CLIA, etc

policies and procedures.

9) Perform other duties as required.

Desired Qualifications:

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Strong problem-solving skills

Good communication skills

Able to work effectively in a team environment

Must be able to lift – up to seventy (70) pounds

Ability to operate materials handling equipment as needed (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)

Education:
Minimum of High School diploma or GED

Experience:
One year of previous materials management experience
Forklift certification desired
Additional Job Details:
Candidate must have reliable transportation to get to/from worksite without issue
Must be available to work whenever scheduled, BE ON TIME, and stay for the entire shift
Please ensure that you are verifying the commute time to/from the physical work location when submitting candidates.
Candidates need to be within a 20-25 min commute window to ensure their ability to travel to/from the site for coverage.
The candidates need to be aware that they will need to agree to speak with the hiring manager for a phone screen and/or onsite interview.
This is a contract-to-hire position for the right candidate who is willing to show up every day and work.
