A bit about us:We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Estimator to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a highly skilled team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for various projects, from preliminary assessments to final estimates. You will be working closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure the accurate forecasting of costs for our projects. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing proposed plans and specifications.
- Interpret construction drawings and architectural designs to develop comprehensive project estimates.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
- Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
- Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.
- Visit site and record information about access, drainage and topography, and availability of services such as water and electricity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating.
- Must be capable of obtaining Department of Energy (DOE) and Department of Defense (DOD) security clearances.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficient in relevant software including MS Office and Estimating software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
