Only qualified Packaging Engineer who is local to Huntersville, NC can be considered for this position due to onsite presence

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science or Engineering degree with some consumer packaging development experience

• Working knowledge of packaging technologies and test methodology

• Excellent project management skills

• Excellent communication skills-verbal and written

• Able to lead and coordinate various task teams

• Computer literacy in design (ArtiosCAD)

The Associate Packaging Engineer develops innovative and cost-effective packaging to address company objectives while adhering to project timelines and established budgets. They complete packaging validation through standard testing and issues specifications following industry testing standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Apply technical knowledge and understanding to day-to-day decision making

• Provides routine engineering work on project teams under guidance from more senior engineers

• Performs packaging testing and validation using specific tools or techniques

• Compiles test data to provide recommendations for solving problems

• Participates in cross-functional teams to work seamlessly across boundaries of company, culture, and geography for successful project execution

• Partners with development and delivery organizations to participate in consensus on new product development (NPD), productivity and product maintenance

• Applies the concept of collaboration to build relationships and coordinate with other teams

• Prepares project status and risks to manager with proper level of detail and recover plans

• Challenges and provide constructive mitigation strategies

• Participates in forums for ideation and technical sharing

• Assists in application of basic packaging design principles to solve problems

• Completes industry accepted testing and validation of packaging designs (ISTA, ASTM, etc)

• Performs other duties as needed
