Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all key duties of a Project Manager, such as attending regular meetings, setting up organized digital filing systems, and keeping plans, specifications, and project logs up to date.
Conduct thorough reviews of project plans, specifications, budgets, and complete material take-offs.
Manage relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and trucking services. Review submittals and manage purchase orders effectively.
Develop and handle essential plans (e.g., SWPP, traffic, excavation) and ensure proper planning and tracking of change orders.
Collaborate with Project Engineers, site foremen, and subcontractors to manage materials deliveries and fulfill site requirements.
Monitor and report on project progress, labor costs, and material quantities.
Handle extra work orders, update project drawings, and oversee completion of punch list work.
Participate in handoff meetings, maintain updated look-ahead schedules, and ensure accurate and timely submission of timecards.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring smooth project execution from start to finish, including managing project close-out documentation.
Maintain and oversee job site safety by enforcing safety protocols, conducting pre-task planning, safety audits, meetings, and providing necessary training.
Manage all submittals and RFIs, ensuring documentation is clear and up to date.
Required Skills & Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Strong understanding of construction cost accounting, estimating, and scheduling.
Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications, coupled with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience with Bluebeam and Viewpoint software, and the ability to manage priorities, time, and cash flow under tight deadlines.
A valid driver’s license is required.
