Our Client is looking for a Staff Accountant to support their growing accounting department. The ideal candidate has strong business sense, data analysis skills, and experience using financial systems to optimize processes. This role provides access to accounting and finance leaders, cutting-edge tech for process automation, and hands-on experience in developing internal controls for financial reporting.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Assist with month-end close and other department tasks
• Record journal entries, cash transactions, and prepare account reconciliations
• Maintain data integrity for accounts, ensuring compliance with internal controls
• Review and manage assigned general ledger accounts
• Investigate and report discrepancies promptly
• Support SOX documentation for internal controls
• Collaborate with departments like FP&A, AP, Engineering, and HR
• Identify areas for process improvement and automation
• Take on ad hoc accounting projects as needed
• Assist with annual and quarterly external audit requests

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• BS in Accounting; CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting theory
• 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting or public company experience preferred
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
• Excellent communicator with internal and external partners
• Team player with a strong work ethic
• Advanced MS Excel skills; comfortable with large datasets
• Strong systems orientation, with a focus on process automation
