Under direct guidance/supervision, support the sales organization with pricing operations and execution. Troubleshoot and advise complex pricing scenarios, and present findings and recommendations to sales to solve problems and issues related to pricing systems. Prepare business, financial and data analysis and reports.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
General price troubleshooting
Perform pricing analysis for large bids/RFPs, complex group price parity situations, and when price savings must be achieved to retain business.
Execute item conversion requests and related support functions for the product division
Provide pricing support to Sales and other areas of the company
This analyst will be knowledgeable about all pricing programs and will be able to field general questions
Analysis and administration of standard pricing programs, including price assurance, linearity, and pricing parity.
Prepare and analyze sales forecast and results reports and presentations.
Train internal stakeholders on pricing and pricing execution
Analyze item pricing across all customers to identify situations where pricing is outside of the normal, predetermined price range.
Review pricing to determine items that are priced outside of the normal predetermined range for typical customers of that market type.
Ensure new pricing rules are first reviewed and evaluated for their impact on sales rep commissions before final implementation.
Support sales teams in preparing and evaluating deal scenarios and contract terms.
Collaborate with Sales, IS and Finance to develop, create and maintain reporting requirements and ensure systems provide accurate and timely data.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics or Applied Statistics.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Access (for example: designing and creating simple queries, modifying data types, adding dates, working with required fields and/or creating labels).
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, volume.
Ability to apply concepts of algebra and business statistics.
