Job Details
Our client is a non-profit organization in the finance industry seeking a seasoned and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of financial leadership, strategic planning, and management in a non-profit setting. This individual will play a crucial role in shaping and guiding the financial future of our organization, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership: As the CFO, you will be responsible for the organization's overall financial strategy, ensuring the development and execution of effective financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Strategic Planning: You will work closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors to develop and implement a strategic plan that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
- Management: You will oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. You will also be responsible for managing and mentoring a dedicated team of finance professionals.
- Business Strategy: You will leverage your expertise in financial analysis to guide business strategy, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- Board and Committee Meetings: You will be required to attend and participate in meetings of the Board of Directors and its various committees as requested, providing financial insights and updates.
- Audit and Tax Filings: You will coordinate the annual audit and tax filings, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within a non-profit organization.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in budgeting, financial analysis, strategic planning, management, and accounting.
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Exceptional strategic thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive business strategy and growth.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to a variety of stakeholders, including the Board of Directors.
- A deep understanding of non-profit financial regulations and standards, including experience coordinating audits and tax filings.
