A high-performing audiology practice with an uncompromising focus on quality care is seeking to hire a full-time or part-time audiologist. Candidates should be dedicated to delivering the best hearing care to patients, continuously striving for excellence, and seeking to always learn about and keep abreast of the field. Audiologists at our practice manage the full range of hearing care services, including diagnostic testing and management of hearing loss, with a complete lineup of manufacturers to ensure optimal hearing health outcomes. Experience with tinnitus evaluations and management is preferred, although not required as we will train. Audiologists have an opportunity to make a large impact within the practice and the community.
*PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:*
Clinical Duties* Performs a variety of diagnostic tests of hearing and tinnitus as needed, counseling patients on test results* Completes a report of findings for referring physician with clear differential diagnosis and care plan* Consults directly with referring physician or otology practices as necessary* Maintains accurate chart notes for each visit in the EMR system
* Provides rehabilitation options for communication improvement, including all appropriate options for hearing aids, accessories, and assistive technology.* Offers auditory rehabilitation training options* Fitting of hearing aids using probe microphone real ear measurements* Reviews products available to improve hearing impairment
* Performs ear impressions, ongoing management with follow-up, and education.* Performs hearing aid repairs, and routine validation and verification of hearing aid benefit* Provides tinnitus management to select patients
Miscellaneous duties* Responsible for revenue and margin outcomes.* Maintains positive relationships with various vendors and local medical practices.* Provides excellent customer service and maintains good public relations.* Directly involved in outreach programs.* Shares administrative duties with colleagues as needed.
* Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.* Practices good safety and infection control protocols.* Exercises confidentiality as it relates to business information.
*JOB SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:** Au.D or Master’s Degree in Audiology; Current state licensures for both Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing* Excellent interpersonal skills that promote effective working relationships with patients, colleagues, referring professionals, and the community. This includes listening, sales, and problem-solving skills, communicated in a genuinely caring and respectful manner* Leadership abilities or a desire to take on a leading role within the practice* Ability to operate within an EMR/paperless office* Must be able to organize time and prioritize numerous duties within strict deadlines* Ability to deal with numerous interruptions* Must be detailed oriented, and have strong organizational and time management skills
