Lead MRI Technologist (Tech) - Evening Shift - St. Mary's Hospital

Job Summary:
The MRI Lead Technologist performs MRI procedures and related techniques, producing diagnostic images for a licensed independent practitioner to interpret. The Lead Tech is responsible for managing the daily activities of technical personnel assigned to the MRI department, including trainings, staffing, education, and performance evaluations.
Essential Functions:
Knowledge in workflows, procedures, operation, and processes of the MRI imaging modalities.Selects appropriate MRI pulse sequences adhering to established protocols.Applies principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patient, self, and others.Identifies, prepares, and administers medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.Works closely with other modalities and departments under the direction of the Radiologist.
Education:
Associate's from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited institute (preferred)
Licensure/Certification:
Certification and Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Diagnostic Radiology with Advanced MRI (required)Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required prior to direct patient care)
Experience:
